Car
From the Airport: On leaving Edinburgh Airport, join the A8 heading towards Edinburgh city centre. As you pass Haymarket Station and approach Princes Street, follow the left-hand filter signs on to the one-way system towards Queen Street. Turn right at the second set of traffic lights on to Queen Street and continue along to York Place. At the roundabout, turn right onto Leith Street, turn left at the third set of traffic lights on to Waterloo Place and turn left at Howies restaurant on to a cobbled street called Calton Hill. This brings you to the front entrance of the hotel.
From the South: Exit the Edinburgh City Bypass (A720) at the Straiton Junction and follow the A701 down Burdiehouse Road and Liberton Brae into the city centre and onto North Bridge. Turn right at the traffic lights for Princes Street onto Waterloo Place (lane marked A1), then turn left at Howie’s Restaurant for Calton Hill and the hotel’s main entrance.
From the North: Follow the signs for the city centre after coming off the Fourth Road bridge. After you cross the Dean Bridge on Queensferry Road, turn left at the traffic lights onto Randolf Crescent and take the first left again onto Great Stuart Street. At the roundabout take the second exit onto Glenfinlas Street then bear left onto Saint Colme Street and follow on to Queen Street, continuing along to York Place. At the roundabout, turn right onto Leith Street, turn left at the third set of traffic lights on to Waterloo Place and turn left at Howies restaurant on to a cobbled street called Calton Hill. This brings you to the front entrance of the hotel.

Bus
From the Aiport: The Airlink Service 100 connects the city centre with Edinburgh every 15 or 30 minutes with a journey time of approximately 25 minutes. Both single and return fares are available and can be purchased as you board. Buses depart from and arrive at the Market Street end of Waverley Bridge in front of Edinburgh Waverley, the main railway station. The hotel is an easy five-minute walk from here.
From the Bus Station: Edinburgh Bus Station lies just off St Andrew Square, close to the east end of Princes Street. Leave the station via the exit for South St Andrew Street, turn left and then left again at the traffic lights onto Princes Street. This leads on to Waterloo Place. Continue along Waterloo Place to Howie’s Restaurant on the left-hand side and turn left on to Calton Hill. Follow the cobbled street round to the hotel entrance.
Train
You can travel by train to Waverley Station and exit onto Princes Street. Turn right heading towards the Balmoral Hotel. Cross over the road at the lights onto Waterloo Place. Follow Waterloo Place along passing the Apex Hotel until you reach Howies’s restaurant. Turn left into the cobbled street after Howie’s and follow the street round the corner until you come to The Parliament House Hotel.
Taxi
From the airport: Depending on the time of day, a taxi transfer between Edinburgh Airport and the Parliament House Hotel takes about 30 minutes. Fares are charged on a meter and average about £25. Alternatively you can take a bus or our Edinburgh Trams to St Andrews Place.
Tram
Take an Edinburgh Tram from the Airport and back – almost from our doorstep. Depart the tram at St Andrews Square and walk down the hill to Princess Street. Turn left and continue straight along Waterloo Place until you reach Howies’s restaurant. Turn left into the cobbled street after Howie’s and follow the street round the corner until you come to The Parliament House Hotel.
